ONA Conference sessions about tech, audience and careers have increased in importance over the years, while other subjects, such as academia, have stayed somewhat flat.
That’s according to an ONA Student Newsroom and Innovation Lab analysis of every conference session since 2006.
Usually the composition of the program changes every year. “Some editions are about big thoughts, and other years it’s more about specific tools,” ONA President Joshua Hatch said. These changes in the program reflect the sessions submitted by ONA members and taken from surveys from attendees.
